Good day! With the weather getting warmer, we kindly ask that you dress your child in a suitable uniform to ensure they stay comfortable during the school day. Please continue to complete Class Dojo's temperature check each morning before 8am. Thank you for labeling your child's belongings for school. Please make sure new items (jackets, spoons, socks etc.) are also labelled.
Curriculum highlights
This week, our learning was inspired by the children’s interests! We chose the Playhouse and Kitchen theme because our friends love spending time in this area together. Through fun activities, we learned about kitchen items, caring for our house, and playing cooperatively with our friends.
On Monday, we learned how to look after our toys by helping to clean them. We used towels to wipe our toys and practiced wiping the tables too. The children enjoyed being little helpers and learning how to take care of their classroom.
On Tuesday, we gathered around our playhouse dining table for some pretend mealtime fun! We talked about healthy foods, practiced sharing with our friends, and enjoyed taking turns serving and eating together.
On Wednesday, we became little bakers and explored our kitchen area. We pretended to make bread and cakes while enjoying lots of sensory play. The children had fun mashing, squeezing, mixing, and touching the dough we made.
On Thursday, we learned about cleaning up after cooking. We washed our kitchen tools using soapy water and sponges, exploring bubbles and practicing simple cleaning skills just like grown-ups do.
On Friday, we got ready for Sports Day! We practiced our sports activities and decorated special cheering props to support our friends.
