Theme of the week : Children's Interests - Dinosaurs.
As the weather is getting warmer, May you kindly change their sleeping blankets and change clothes so they can be comfortable.
• Please log in to Class Dojo every morning for updates, and important announcements.
• Kindly label all of your child’s belongings (clothes, bottles, bags, lunch bags, cutlery etc.) to avoid any mix-ups.
• Ensure your child brings extra clothes and diapers, so they stay comfortable throughout the day.
Curriculum highlights
Hello Safari family .
We introduced our theme of dinosaurs for the week. We started out strong with some dinosaur pictures and their names. They were a bit hard to pronounce but we tried our best because we knew we could do it! They went on to pull through some wool in the dinosaur feet.
On Tuesday, we became paleontologists . We were trying to dig up some bones and assemble them to make dinosaurs. This activity was for them to try and put the parts together, as they both work together as well to make something. Some ended up just playing with the toy dinosaurs instead.
On Wednesday, we went on a bit of an adventure reading Alice in Wonderland. This was a story to encourage them to be brave, and for them to know they can depend on themselves for some life skills like dressing, cleaning up and sitting in the right spot.
On Thursday, we assembled together a dinosaur puzzle cut in half for starters. This was an easy activity and we hope to add more pieces to the puzzle. We also tried to solve a bigger puzzle together.
On Friday, we finished off with a physical activity. We had to rooooar our way to the safe zone for our dinosaurs. Passing through the eggs as well.They had a great time exercising and they couldn't stop talking about dinosaurs. We also saw some pigeons on our way from the park, it became the highlight for our week!
