Curriculum highlights

Hello Safari family .

We introduced our theme of birds and nests. This was a very interesting theme for them. They got to name different birds and hear their sounds as well. They made their little birds and got to play with them.

On Tuesday, it was Parents Day! Our lovely Parents joined in our usual activities and they made a nest with their little ones. We continued to talk about birds letting them know they also have baby birds and they need a place to stay as well. This was a priceless moment for both the Parents and our little ones.

On Wednesday, we then dove deeper wondering what do birds eat? Well, we figured it out and came to a conclusion that they like worms among other foods. So it was our duty to look for worms in a sensory bin and feed the birds we have. They used tongs for this activity to help with their hand grasp and coordination as well.

On Thursday, we did a bird matching activity. Since birds are colorful, we also tried to find which bird belongs to what color. They did an amazing job flying the birds around to match them with their colors.

On Friday, we made a hand print bird nest. This is to cap our week of talking about birds and hope the next theme will be as exciting!
