 Week 8

 This week's theme: Spring Bugs

Reminders

Good day! With the weather getting warmer, we kindly ask that you dress your child in a suitable uniform to ensure they stay comfortable during the school day. Please continue to complete Class Dojo's temperature check each morning before 8am. Thank you for labeling your child's belongings for school. Please make sure new items (jackets, spoons, socks etc.) are also labelled.

Curriculum highlights

This week, we explored the world of creepy crawlies and bugs! We sang lots of bug songs and learned about different types of bugs throughout the week.

On Monday, we built little houses for bugs and strengthened our hand muscles by taking bugs in and out of boxes.

Tuesday was Parents’ Day! It was such a wonderful time together during circle time, activity time, and snack time. We pretended to be bug hunters, searched for bugs, and matched them to the correct groups. Thank you so much again for joining us! We hope you had fun and learned something too!

On Wednesday, we talked about spiders and sang “The Itsy Bitsy Spider” while collecting spider balls onto their webs.

Thursday was all about baby butterflies — caterpillars! 🐛 We learned that they are round and green.

On Friday, we marched like ants and made an ant craft using egg cartons, which we painted brown. What a fun and bug-filled week we had!
