Curriculum highlights
Hello friends! This week in Pond Class we have been learning all about the beautiful blooming flowers around us! 🌼
On Monday, we spent some lovely time around our small world house and decorated it with colorful stickers while learning about colors too.
Tuesday was full of fun fine motor activities as we pulled colorful surprises out from inside boxes! They just wouldn’t stop coming! We LOVE pulling tissue papers, so this was such a fun alternative. We also enjoyed singing flower songs together.
On Wednesday, we made flower crafts using glove balloons! Who would have thought we could turn those into flowers? We explored the primary colors red, blue, and yellow and discovered so many more colors along the way.
Thursday was all about activating our sense of smell. We explored REAL flowers and compared them with fake flowers too. Then we created a beautiful little garden around our mini house.
Friday was our messy, magical sensory day! We explored a real garden sensory bin with real soil and real flowers. We just couldn’t get enough! Yes, it was messy, but we learned so much through play! What a blooming wonderful week we had in Pond Class! See you all again next week!
