Curriculum highlights

Hello Safari family .

We introduced our theme of bugs. This theme had mixed feelings from our toddlers as sometimes they couldn't tell a toy from reality. This was really interesting actually, and we started off with a ladybug.

On Tuesday, we read a story about the very hungry caterpillar. We fed the caterpillar all the fruits he had to eat until he turned into a butterfly. We then painted our own caterpillar which was a very calm activity for them and their attention was on the paint and paint brushes.

On Wednesday, we decided to explore the incy-bitsy spider. We saw how he was washed down the drain by the rain, and we learnt what the spider eats and how it catches its food. To test the theory, we tried the sticky spider web target using pom poms.

On Thursday, we had an interesting bee activity. We made a beehive using bubble wrap paper. Interestingly they had to strengthen their fingers through popping each bubble then went on to make the print.

On Friday, we had the opportunity to stretch our bodies by hoping on the caterpillar and feeding it in the end. We even made our small cute caterpillars on a leaf.
