Curriculum highlights
Dear Families and Friends,
Happy Week 2! Our theme this week was All About Me, and we had such a wonderful time learning more about ourselves. Each day, we explored who we are by looking at our pictures and proudly saying, “It’s me!”. This topic has been especially meaningful as it helps us recognize and appreciate our differences and what makes each of us unique.
On Monday, we had our very first morning assembly in the big room. We gathered together and learned about being Inquirers, asking questions when we’re unsure and developing a love for learning.
On Tuesday, we began our topic by appreciating our differences. We looked in the mirror, pointed to different parts of our faces, and celebrated ourselves. We are all beautiful!
Wednesday was full of creativity as we made handprints and footprints. Some of us have big hands, some have small hands, and that’s what makes us special. Wonderful!
On Thursday, we explored our ring binders. We practiced turning pages and looked at things that are important to us, like our favorite foods, pictures of our families, and our beloved stuffed toys.
Finally, on Friday, we wrapped up the week with a fun and silly activity—sticking stickers on different parts of our bodies while singing Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes!
We’re excited to continue learning more about ourselves and there’s still so much to discover!
