Theme of the week : Welcome back to School
We are so excited to begin this wonderful journey with you and your little explorers. Our classroom will be a warm, nurturing, and adventurous space where children can learn, grow, and discover the world around them through play and meaningful experiences.
As we begin, here are a few important reminders to help our days run smoothly:
• Please log in to Class Dojo every morning for updates, and important announcements.
• Kindly label all of your child’s belongings (clothes, bottles, bags, lunch bags, cutlery etc.) to avoid any mix-ups.
• Ensure your child brings extra clothes and diapers, so they stay comfortable throughout the day.
We can’t wait for a fun-filled Safari adventure! 🦁✨

Hello Safari family .
We started the week with us trying to settle down and get to know each other better. As easy as it sounds, this was not the case. We had to always remind our little ones that they are now toddlers hence the new teachers, new class and also welcoming new friends. As puzzled as they were, they managed to play around the areas, getting to know their class and friends at large. We even got our first day of school pictures taken and we loved it!
On Tuesday, we decided to explore our crafty side. Crafts help our toddlers to have a little focus on their paper and the outcome. For them, it was time to play around with paper, glue and paint, but for us, we knew they were trying to make something.
On Wednesday, we had a bit of sand play. Now this was the most exciting activity that sparked most of the conversations. They even forgot they were transitioning, and it helped them to explore their fine motor skills more. They made a variety of snacks like pizza, donuts and even pancakes haha to serve. They did a great job on this.
On Thursday, we had more fine motor activity, that is dinosaur picking. The main aim was to establish focus on an activity, whilst sitting at the table and trying to pick up the dinosaurs with a tong. They all had color preferences, and choices to make with their dinosaurs. Some ended up imitating the sound of dinosaurs, whilst others explored the counting side of it.
On Friday, for a bit of fun and movement, we tried musical chairs. This is more of a listening and instructional activity. They had to walk around chairs and sit when the music stops. So they had to constantly have to pay attention to the music. They did well for their first try and we are so proud of them since most of them are settling in very well.
