Week 18th - September 11th, 2026

 Week 18

Theme: Fruits

Curriculum highlights

Our theme this week was all about fruits, following our vegetable theme last week! Fruits come in so many beautiful colors, shapes, and sizes, so we explored these features through fun, hands-on activities. We were also joined by The Very Hungry Caterpillar, who loved munching on all kinds of fruits!

On Tuesday, we practiced counting 1–5 and worked on our fine motor skills by counting little worms hiding in apples. On Wednesday, we learned color names through sorting and practiced using two-word phrases such as “red apple” and “yellow banana.” On Thursday, we made a fun watermelon craft using our hand prints. To wrap up our fruity week on Friday, we explored different shapes, decorated them with fruit stickers while practicing fruit names, and even strung fruit pieces onto long yarn to build our fine motor skills. What a fruity fun week for Pond class! Happy Weekend everyone!
