Curriculum highlights

Hello Safari family.

Our week started off with the introduction of the theme. We learnt some Safari animal names, as well as knowing it is a habitat to different kinds of animals. They had to repeat words, and also make a copy of the monkey tail using wool.

On Tuesday, we made ourselves a Safari hat! This is a very beautiful khaki hat, usually, but they had the option to choose colors they wanted. They enjoyed holding the brushes and trying to paint the whole hat. For some, it was only the middle part that mattered!

On Wednesday, we went on a shape adventure, and to locate them we wanted binoculars. So first we had to design our binoculars then move on to hunting the circle. From the walls, toys and to the shapes on the floor, we wanted to look for anything circle.

On Thursday, we matched circles with the similar color. Using another paper to connect the circle. This helps with color coordination, and matching skills .

On Friday, we finished the week with Safari animals shadow painting. This is to help them have brush control, and make use of the paint effectively. It was the first attempt, and they did a great job!
